Joseph Hawthorne, CEO & Founder

Serving others to expand their human capacity, realize their true potential, achieve optimal health, and become better humans. This is Joseph’s calling; to build a community and place where you can improve your health and relationship with mind, body, and spirit. 

Karil Hawthorne, COO and Nutrition Coach

Owner and Founder of Block Nutrition. A custom tailored nutrition program designed to meet you exactly where you’re at, specific to your body, so you can get in the best shape of your life without sacrificing foods you love.

Caroline Janton, Gym Manager

Your go-to contact for everything Block Fitness. Caroline has been a part of the team since the inception of Block Fitness and is driven to deliver an amazing experience for every step of your journey here at Block Fitness. 

Ethan Buus, Lead Coach and Program Coordinator

Ethan brings an extensive athletic background to Block Fitness and works with Youth Athletes of all ages & sports. He has a passion for lifting, rehab, speed and conditioning.

James Becker, Senior Coach and Program Specialist

Strength coach and hypertrophy specialist, James brings a body builders approach to Block Fitness to help shape and build every aspect of your physique.

Chris Walter

As an NSCA certified trainer with over 10 years as a Strength and Conditioning Coach for Major League Baseball, Chris offers an extensive background of knowledge. Chris worked with both the Detroit Tigers (2005-2020) and the Seattle Mariners. He holds certifications FMS, USA Weightlifting L1, FRC and more.

Shaylin Oldham, Personal Training and Program Specialist.

With her Nutrition and Human Performance from the University of Arizona, Shaylin has a wealth of knowledge that goes above and beyond the gym in order to help you with rehab, performance, athletics, and more!

Aubrie Augat, Personal Training and Program Specialist.

With many certifications, a passion for Olympic lifts, and a pursuit to finish her degree in Nutrition and Human Performance, Aubrie brings a high level of expertise to help you achieve your goals.

Stephanie Anderson

Strength Coach and rehab focused personal trainer with a degree in Nutrition and Human Performance from the University of Arizona. Stephanie is actively pursuing the next steps in her career to become a Certified Physical Therapist.

Juliet Fortino, Barbell Lifting Specialist & Nutrition Coach

A master of the barbell with powerlifting meets under her belt, Juliet offers strength training insights like no other. As a Certified nutrition coach, life coach, and licensed therapist, Juliet is our go-to Coach for helping you improve your mindset, change nutrition habits, and reach your strength goals.

Joanna Milkovich, Physical Therapist Assistant & Personal Training

Joanna’s specialties include corrective exercise therapy from her PTA degree, years of experience coaching athletes (soccer emphasis), and training professional cheerleaders for both the Dallas Cowboys and Arizona Cardinals.
